Joe has 40 years of varied construction experience commencing in 1980. The first 19 years the experience was gained practicing Architecture. I was fortunate to work on multiple building types with talented individuals willing to share their knowledge. Early experience commenced with Multi-family, shifted to Office Condominium buildings and moved on to High-end Residential. 1991 saw a shift towards practicing Architecture under my license and focusing primarily on High-end Residential, Shopping Centers, Restaurants and Tenant Improvements.
The Journey continued exploring the Governmental side while working for the City of Delray Beach Building Department, for the better part of 4 years. In 1999 the Journey took a turn into third-party Project Management where experience was first gained in managing ground-up office and warehouse buildings, along with tenant improvements. Project Management focus shifted to tenant improvements for Law Firms in Miami along with Headquarters for Bacardi in Coral Gables, BankAtlantic in Fort Lauderdale and Kemet in Fort Lauderdale. In 2019 the Journey took a slight turn into Development Project Management for a Development Firm bringing experience working on projects with Amazon and development of a Warehouse Park and 2 separate warehouse projects within the park in Martin County, Florida.
The Journey through the varied fields of construction has revealed a common theme, that the key to a successful project is a satisfied client and that road is paved with team collaboration from Design to Certificate of Completion.
Education includes Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Design from Auburn University and Associate of Arts in Design from Miami-Dade College. Certifications include Architect, LEED AP, Plans Examiner, Building Inspector and Real Estate. Representative Clients include Amazon, Bacardi, BankAtlantic and JAFCO.
