Durvall A. Pedro
Durvall A. Pedro, MEPFP Engineer/Project Manager joined J. Kelly Advisors in 2019 to leverage his 25-year professional background in the areas of Healthcare, Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial engineering.
Prior to JKA, Durvall built a successful career as an Associate Principle/Project Manager with BR+A consulting engineers. BR+A is one of the nation’s largest Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Low voltage consulting engineering companies. As project manager his focus was on healthcare and life science projects. This career with BR+A spans over 18 years of engineering, design, and project management. Durvall was also the department head of the Plumbing and Fire Protection that included managing a staff of 8 plumbing and fire protection designers. As Project manager, his responsibilities were to understand the owner’s expectations that included, but not limited to budget and schedule. This understanding is extremely important when designing the MEPFP systems as they can be the most expensive cost of a project and in most cases the longest lead times on specified equipment. It was also his PM responsibility to be the conduit of information between the MEPFP design team, Architect, and owner. Durvall was also involved in the construction process and attended Owner, Architect, Contractor meetings.
Prior to BR+A, Durvall was a project manager for Smith Seckman and Reid Consulting Engineers for 9 years. SSR is another large national MEPFP engineering firm that specialized in healthcare and hospitality projects. Along with the day to day PM responsibilities, Durvall was also responsible for projections, staffing, invoicing, collections, and client relations.
Durvall Pedro is a graduate from the Massasoit Collage in Massachusetts where he obtained his Associates in applied science. He is also a certified medical/lab gas inspector. Durvall enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, motorcycle riding, boating and fishing.
